An Island
Experience The Campbell
Cottage is our private home which we happily share with our special
guests. A
full breakfast is served on
the spacious front porch, weather permitting, or in front of the
crackling fire on chilly days.
Bicycles, single-speed coater-brake style, are provided for
guests to explore the wooded back roads and travel to "downtown" and
the beach.
The spacious front porch is delightful for a quiet afternoon reading
a good book, or just rocking and watching the gentle motion of the waves.
Sunsets are our specialty, because Lake Erie sunsets are so beautiful
and best seen from our front porch or yard.
Coffee, iced tea or lemonade, and homemade cookies are available
all day. A special "guest refrigerator" is stocked with beverages and juices and will keep
your own beverages and snacks chilled.
Only a few years old, Campbell Cottage has all the modern conveniences
plus "old fashioned" amenities.
Hand-made
quilts, antiques and personal family collectibles define the decor. The
relaxing ambiance invites you to unwind and get into "island mode."
Three
guest rooms provide privacy, comfort and quiet. All mattresses
are of the highest quality. All rooms are double occupancy.
Campbell Cottage is not suitable for very young children. We welcome well-behaved children over 10 years old. |

Butterfly
On
the second floor, with a view of the lake and a queen-size bed,
this room is well suited for families. A day-bed accommodates
two more. The adjacent loft siting area has a TV, library and
board games. Private Bath. $150.00.
$25 charge for each additional person in this room up to two persons. Minimum age is 10 years.

Activities
Walk
the nature trails, bike the wood-edged backroads, explore the shops and
historic sites, swim at the sandy beach, fish the rich lake waters, dine
at a downtown restaurant, and return to the cottage for a multicolored
sunset sky viewed from the porch or waters edge. Away from the city lights,
the night sky is ablaze with stars. A leisurely stroll along the lake shore
can conclude your evening
Reservations
and Check In
Weekends May through September require a two-night stay. Holidays
and special events require three nights. Your Visa or MasterCard
number will hold your reservation. The balance is due upon arrival. Check-in
is 2-6 p.m., unless special arrangements are made for later arrival.

Your
reservation will be confirmed with a "Welcome Packet" which
includes a ferry boat schedule, printed directions to the
ferry boat landing on Marblehead and to find us when you arrive
on the island, plus a map of Kelleys Island.
Cancellation Policy
A $25 processing fee is charged for cancellations up to 48 hours before
expected arrival. Less than 48 hours will result in the charge of one-nights
rental if the room cannot be re-rented. Early departures receive a gift
certificate for unused time.

Sunset Cruises
Enjoy a sunset cruise or an afternoon sailing around the lake on the 31 foot sailboat "Serenity." Coast Guard Licensed, experienced skipper. Have a great time on Lake Erie.

About
Kelleys Island
The largest American island in Lake Erie is 2800 acres in land area. The
Campbell Cottage is two miles from "downtown", where the restaurants and
shops are located. It is also one and a half miles from the sand beach
and Glacial Grooves. You may want to explore several interesting nature
trails, which are also a few miles away.
You
will need transportation to get around the island. Golf
carts may be rented for $12.00 per hour. We encourage our
guests to bring their own car or bikes to be sure you have
transportation while you are here.

My Island Wish
I long for Kelleys Island mornings,
For the glory of sunlit days
For the soft caress of the gentle breeze

Its rays of red and gold,
I'd like to swim on a hot afternoon
And remember while I grow old.
I'd love to sit on the big front porch
And rock or take a nap.
